SATURDAY TRAILS WITH MUDDY SHOES – LOG HOUSE ROAD
Hey Intrepid Trail Joggers,
Time to head up-county to slap your feetsies on some awesome single track. This is one of my favs. Weather will be Summer-like with a touch more heat and humidity but nothing too drastic. Looking at a run-time temp of ~72 and humidity at 85% but it will be dropping as the morning progresses. We’ll have the usual replenishment stuff at the end but bring a chair to hang out with your sweaty friends. Sure beats doing yard work!
OK, here’s the run info:
Location: Seneca Greenway at Log House Road

Time: 0730
Course: Out-and-back on Seneca Greenway and Goshen Branch Trail
Distance: 12 ½-ish (feel free to do shorter)

Verbal Directions: Go down hill and follow the creek, you will cross Watkins Road (around 1.8 miles), turn right up the road/hill about 50 yards then left back onto the trail, cross bridge over Seneca Creek (~2.5 miles), cross Huntmaster Road (~4.25 miles, water before you cross the road outbound), veer leftish onto Goshen Branch trail (~5 miles), going right would take you to Brink Road towards Watkins Mill HS, but that is NOT the plan, take Goshen Branch out to the road (Huntmaster again, ~6.25 miles), turnaround there (trail does not continue across the road), for a total of around 12.5 miles.
Pace: Fast, slow and in-between
Vibe: Very chill-axing!!
