TUESDAY TRAILS AT NEEDWOOD!

Hey Tuesday Trail Dogs,

Alrighty, Tuesday is here, and we are headed back to Lake Needwood (don’t forget, we switched locations!). This week we will hit the Blue Jay Loop and the infamous Troll Trail. I don’t know why it’s infamous, but it sounds more exciting when I use that adjective. None the less, we’ll be hittin’ it this evening, infamous or not. But, first, as usual, announcements, then details.

  • HEY!!!! Registration is open for the Farm Park Challenge Endurance Event and Marathon. Mark your calendars for May 4th (go ahead and say it, you Star Wars freaks – May the 4th be with you!)! Located in the center of Montgomery County at the Agricultural Farm Park in the budding metropolis of Derwood! Pick your poison – 3 hour, 6 hour or 10 hour trail challenges or the marathon. Race day volunteers are also needed. It’s always been a great day to come run and hang out at a beautiful venue with some of your filthiest trails buds. More info on registering to run or volunteer here http://farmparkchallenge.com/
  • Did I mention that 2024 marks the 10 year anniversary of Muddy Shoes? Yup, ten years ago we had our first run. To mark the occasion we will be getting some commemorative swag to celebrate. Stay tuned. Save your money! T-shirts are coming?!
  • Muddy Shoes Saturday Trail Runs have started! Regular Saturday runs that take us to trails and venues that you might not have seen in a larger group. We also provide after-run refreshments (remember ice cold mini-Cokes and pickle chips?) and chit-chat. Mingle with your trail besties! Keep an eye out for details sent out each Friday.
  • We have swag! Muddy Shoes Baseball caps (a mere $15), Buffs ($10) and Reusable Cups ($5). See Coach Phil or Coach Mike (Chau)
