TUESDAY TRAILS @ REDLAND

Hey Whaddup, Trailies!

Ya know, we are rapidly heading through the calendar towards Springtime! Winter Trails is over (almost!), Greenway – Done, Dark Side – Done, Barkley Marathions – Done (BTW, I sat this one out this year – I was a little under-trained!). We still have the HAT Race coming up on the 25th for a few of you (taper, taper!), Muddy Shoes Saturday Summer Runs are stating  April 1st and the Farm Park Challenge is looming on May 6th! WOW! That’s a lot of reasons to be out on the trails!

But lets not forget that it is Tuesday and that means its time for the weekly Tuesday Trails at Redland event. Its open to everyone! Fast, Slow, and in-between! C’mon out and join us.

Here are the details and some important announcements:

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

– Registration is open for the 12th Annual Farm Park Challenge on May 6th! A great local trail event. This year it is sponsored by Muddy Shoes! C’mon out for the 3-hour, 6-hour, 8-hour challenges or the marathon. Folks are welcome to just sign up for the fun run too! More info at http://farmparkchallenge.com/

– The Muddy Shoes Spring/Summer/Fall Saturday schedule is coming out soon. Join Coach Phil, Coach Audrey and the rest of the Muddy Shoes team out on the trails of MoCo for a darn good time!

– Muddy Shoes Running in the Buff! OK, so that got your attention. And, no, we are not running naked…yet! It’s still too cold! But (or is it butt?) what I’m talking about are the brand-spankin’ new Muddy Shoes Buffs that you wear! Good news for all, a new batch of Muddy Shoes buffs are in and ready for you to spend your hard-earned dollars on to get one of these highly coveted trail running accessories. OK, details for tonight:

When: Tuesday March 21th

Time: Warm up – 6:00 Run – 6:15 (If you get there after 6 but before 6:15 just wait. We’ll be back!)

Place: Redland Middle School, 6505 Muncaster Mill Rd, Derwood, MD 20855 – go around back to the right

Course: We will alternate each week, clockwise and counterclockwise. This week CLOCKWISE (Upper Trail first)

Headlamp: Yup, still need them towards the end!

Pets: Dogs OK. Cats – good luck!

Distance – 5-ish with the warm-up

Pace: Slow, Fast and In-between; all are welcome!

Vibe: Chill

Hope to C U there cuz these trails ain’t gonna run themselves!
