Hey Trail Dogs,
I’m looking at the weather forecast for today and thinkin’ ‘Ooh La La – It’s gonna be a picture-perfect day for living up to our Muddy Shoes reputation – wet and muddy! Personally, I live for running in these conditions…well, I have a lot of other reasons to live but, I think you get my wet and muddy point. Yeah, its nice to run on sunny breezy days but these conditions truly exemplify the sport for me. Anybody can run when its nice out but true trailies like it nasty. Especially for those training for big Fall events. You don’t know what Mother Nature will throw at you on Race Day so best to be prepared by training in crap. I used to tell my runners “The more shit you run through, the less shit will affect you’. Good words to think about. Who knows, might end up being nice. Weathermen have been wrong before. Either way, we need to get our Tuesday miles in. Soooo…here are the details:

Time: Warm Up Mile 6 p.m. Main run 6:15
Course: Counter-Clockwise; Up East side of lake and out-n-back on Beaver Tale Trail, crossover lake on Needwood Rd., then hit Parilla Path before crossing over dam. Hill repeats on Potty Hill. Easy Peazy!
Distance: 5-6-ish miles with warm-up (feel free to do shorter or longer)
Pace: Slow, Fast and In-between; all are welcome!
