I’m switching up on ya. We will be running the Gold Mine Loop on Saturday. Awesome trails with some awesome views and some awesome history behind ’em. Yes, there actually was a gold mine up in them thar hills. We actually run by it on the Gold Mine Loop (Hey, maybe thats where they got the name, ya think?) But we won’t be digging up any nuggets. No panning for gold. No canary in a gold mine. Hopefully no cave ins! Just gettin’ in the miles as we usually do. These trails do have some hills which is good prep for HEAT Race. Weather folks say there will be showers about so don’t forget your running umbrella. Just kidding, we don’t run with umbrellas, now, do we? We embrace the precip! Enjoy the moisture!
NOTE – Sometimes it is crowded at this location. Carpool if possible and don’t be late. DO NOT park along shoulder of MacArthur Blvd – you WILL get a ticket.
