TUESDAY TRAIL THERAPY AT NEEDWOOD
Hey there Forest Joggers!!
Ready for a little dose of Trail Therapy? Leave all your stress and worries out in the woods. Nothing like pounding your feet on some single-track to clear your head and maybe, just maybe, get you to stop grinding your teeth (we all do it!). So, here are Dr. Muddy Shoes recommended trail therapies for specific stresses you might be having:
Work – 5.75 miles
Traffic – 5.75 miles
Kids – 5.75 miles (per child)
Economy – 5.75 miles
Zombie Apocalypse – 5.75 miles
OK, now, guess how far we are running today…you got it! 5.75 miles!
Sometimes I’m amazed at how these things work themselves out! You don’t even need a prescription! Ain’t life grand?

Spring/Summer Saturday runs are happening! Coach Audrey and I have teamed up to keep all you trailies occupied on your Saturday mornings throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall. Also, will be having the Summer Fat Ass (hosted by Mike Chau), the Stone Mill Course Preview runs in October and the Phantastic Phall Phat Ass (hosted by Coach Robin). Stay tuned for run info!

Location: Lake Needwood
Address: 15679 Needwood Lake Cir, Derwood, MD 20855
Date: 29 April 2025
Time: Warm up at 6 p.m. Run starts at 6:15
Course: Clockwise across dam, Parilla Path, Westside Trail, across lake on Needwood Road, left across road and out-n-back onto Beaver Tale (aka Upper Rock Creek Trail). Cross back into park on Beach Drive and pick up Mudcat Trail on right. Take right onto Needwood Trail and take back to parking lot.
Distance: 5.75 miles with warm-up (feel free to do shorter or longer)
Pace: Fast, slow and in-between
Vibe: Chill…very chill
