So, Trail Frogs,
Remember all those Tuesday runs where I was able to negotiate with Mother Nature for really nice running weather? Well, pay back time! Looks like my credit with the Big Weather Goddess is no good anymore. That being said, we ARE trail runners! We are not easily dissuaded (although dangling an ice-cold beer in front of me has been known to alter my decision-making ability). We run in rain, snow, mud, and ice! We embrace the heat and cold. Remember, the more shit you run through the less shit affects you! That’s some mantra!
Now, this evening will be dicey. Temps will be fine and the precip will be in the form of rain. However, the crucial piece is the wind. It might be a game-time decision whether we chance falling branches and trees. KEEP CHECKING BACK IN CASE THE RUN IS POSTPONED.
On the bright side, it is the 2nd Tuesday of the month which means…Outta the Way Café night after the run. Weather should be fine inside our favorite Derwood dining establishment so we’ll head there after the run for a nosh and mingle. You might want to bring a change of clothes in your car so we don’t drip on their floor.
