Attention Tree Slappers, Trail Dogs and Forest Joggers!

Just got word that the weather on Saturday is going to be scrumptious! It must be true! I got it from the internet! Start time temp will be about 59 F with humidity in the ‘ideal’ range at 55%. This is mid-August! We’ll take it! Arrange your schedule now! Mow your lawn later! Go to watch your kid play soccer next week! Don’t even bother to make your bed (your just gonna mess it up later anyway!) Do NOT…I repeat…DO NOT let this opportunity pass you by! If you can’t clear your calendar, I will do it for you!

Now watch, it will end up being stinkin’ hot. But as of now, those who predict our weather are giving us a good forecast. I also sent a small ‘donation’ to Mother Nature to keep the H & H away. We’ll see if she listens.

This week we’ll be heading up-county to Black Hill/Ten Mile Creek for our weekly romp in the woods.

More on that after these messages…

·        The holidays will soon be upon us! Shop early! Shop often! We have great Muddy Shoes merch that will make great stocking stuffers or secret Santa gifts! Baseball Hats ($15) Buffs ($10) Reusable Trail Cups ($5).

·        Stone Mill Course Preview Runs! After some tough negotiations with the Stone Mill 50 Mile Race management team (actually, Barry just asked, and I said ‘Sure!’) Muddy Shoes will be hosting the ever-popular Stone Mill Course Preview training runs in the month of October (7th, 14th, 21st and 28th). These runs divide the entire course into segments that we run each weekend. Great way to see whats comin’ at ya on race day. BUT, keep in mind, these well-supported runs are open to everyone, and you can do whatever distance you want. Donations $ will be greatly appreciated.
